Welcome to Wheat State Pizza

Wheat State Pizza opened its doors in Lawrence, Kansas on June 10th, 2004. Ryan Murphy, a veteran restaurant manager in the Lawrence/Kansas City area started with the single location at 23rd and Louisiana in The Malls Shopping Center.

Despite heavy competition in the area, Wheat State found quick success by giving people what they want, excellent quality. Ryan's goal is to produce the best pizza in Kansas by offering the best quality ingredients. Wheat State Pizza makes their own dough from scratch, shreds their cheese fresh, slices fresh vegatables, and offers many great toppings to choose from.

In January of 2005, a second Wheat State opened in the historic downtown area of Baldwin City, Kansas. These restaurants were quickly followed by locations in historic downtown Overland Park the same year and in Gardner, Kansas in early 2006. All locations continue to grow in popularity through excellent Pizza and community involvement.
